Welcome to the YWCA Encore Program.  YWCA Encore Greater Newburyport is excited to be partnering with YWCA Princeton New Jersey offering virtual land classes to participants of the Encore/Breast Cancer Resource Center. YWCA Encore is a unique free 12 week “Survivorship and Thriver Program” for those who have experienced cancer at any times in their lives.  Cancer, treatment and side effects can pose many temporary and long-term challenges including numbness and sensory loss, compromised mobility, fatigue, weakness and general physical and psychological discomfort.  Encore integrates a dynamic approach to wellness by offering gentle land and warm water pool classes with exercises designed to meet the needs of cancer patients.  All the classes are led by trained program leaders with a strong focus on providing a safe experience for “every body.”  Classes focus on the entire body including gentle, effective functional training exercises designed to improve balance, core strength, flexibility, mobility, overall strength and comfort.  Access to peer support groups through collaboration with the Tough Warrior Princesses.
