Debit payments will be made on the 15th of the month. (Final debits for weeks 1-5, will be made on June 15; final debits for weeks 6-8 will be made on July 15).
- After June 1st, all fees must be paid in full at time of registration.
- Checks should be made payable to: YWCA Greater Newburyport.
- * *Current School’s Out parents – No payment is required at registration.
- refund policy
- If you withdraw your child before the start of an enrolled summer week, we will refund your fees less $75. If there is a medical reason for the withdrawal, you must bring a doctor’s note to receive a full refund of your fees.
Grants
- There are very limited funds available for summer grants. The best option is to begin by exploring any other source of support that might be available to you.
- If you are currently on a Child Care Circuit voucher or receiving any services or childcare support from any other agency, it is a good idea to ask that agency about available summer funds.
- If you live in Newburyport, call Community Service 978-465-7562 for an application.
- If Community Service approves the grant, bring the approved grant and your completed intake packet to the YWCA. At that point, we will process your child’s intake registration.
- If you are not a Newburyport resident, you can complete a YWCA grant application and return it to the YWCA with a copy of your pay stub or 1040.
Ages
- Entering 1st grade through entering 4th grade
Registration
- Registration for each week closes the Wednesday before the start of that week.
Activities
- Days will include outdoor fun, sports, art, science, gardening, special guests and general good old fashioned summer fun! Our plan is to walk down to the YWCA to swim.
Lunch and Snacks
- Please send a healthy lunch and two healthy snacks (We would love to see fresh fruit, veggie sticks, juice, sandwiches, meat roll-ups, cheese, salads, yogurt, bagels, granola bars, crackers, etc.....) We will not have a refrigerator so please put an ice pack in with anything perishable.
- DO NOT SEND – candy, soda or any glass containers. We will have water available.
What to Wear
- Comfortable play clothes and shoes. DO NOT WEAR flip flops or shoes that are not good for running and climbing.
- What not to bring – Anything electronic (we cannot be responsible for electronic items and we will be having so much fun, we won’t need them)
What Else to Bring
- Swim suit, towel, sun screen, sweater or sweatshirt in case the day gets chilly. Please mark everything; all kid items look alike to the kids.
